About Our Puppies
All of our puppies are whelped inside the home under close supervision. We are with the bitch at all times to assist when necessary and to provide her with a calm, secure surrounding. I prefer to take the pups to the vet about the 3rd–4th day for dewclaw removal and to be checked over. At 3 weeks of age, when the puppies have their eyes open and are standing, we start them on gruel. We believe that the sooner you can get them on solid food the better start they get. They are still with their mother at this point, as we don’t start the weaning process until about 5 weeks. It takes us about a week to fully wean the pups from their mother. Puppies leave for their new homes between 7 and 8 weeks.
Puppy Guarantee
With each breeding, every effort is made to produce sound puppies. We make sure both parents have all their clearances and are healthy at the time of breeding. All of our dogs are OFA certified for both hips and elbows. Their eyes are checked yearly and are up to date with vaccinations. When the puppies go to their new homes, they have been wormed, their series of shots have been started and they have been to the vets twice. The first time when they are days old to get their dew claws removed, and then when they are 6 weeks to make sure they are healthy and ready to go to their new home. All of our puppies are guaranteed up to the age of 26 months against any hereditary health condition.
